EAS vs Deportivo Galeana
An own goal in the early minutes of the second half caused All Stars a game after a good display of competitiveness and desire to win.
The first half was a 50-50 chance on both sides with Galeana making more attempts at goal but EAS dominating in short passes and higher percentage of ball possession. In the second half the same happened only that EAS was down by the fifth minute. Even after getting scored, All Stars kept applying pressure but took no shots at goal except for one attempt by Ahmed that was deflected leading to a corner.
Final score Deportivo Galeana 1, EAS, 0.
With this result, it's now more than obvious that EAS will not make it to the playoffs. The best they can get is 15 points in their remaining matches. Should something drastic happen to any of the top 8, EAS may stand a chance of making it hence the need to keep pushing even with this lack of hope.
On the other events, EAS will be preparing to go to the annual Springfield tournament in which they hope to make a new mark. Over the past, EAS has never moved to the next round with the best result being two ties from 3 games. This is their 4th year in this tournament which is usually held in Springfield - Kiwanis Park. More on this tournament will be posted in the coming week as the players prepare for a showdown.
