EAS vs Zitro Star
EAS went down 3 goals to 1to Zitro Star, one of the top teams in the League. It was a sad moment for EAS after they had lost one of their players from cancer after a long illness.

The game which was characterized by equal opportunities saw EAS concede 3 goals of which none was a superior move but just a couple of defensive mistakes. At half time, EAS had scored the solitary late goal from Ed to get back to the game after Zitro Star had led for the better part of the half.

Second half started on a lower note when Tonnie received a red card after handling the ball a yard away from the box. The reduced manpower of 10 struggled to keep the ball away from the rivals’ long balls.
In the dying minutes EAS seemed to have new energy as they made runs to tie the game. Their efforts were thwarted by the offside trap that Zitro Star had laid. EAS was, however, not happy when the ref seemed to end the game prematurely when the tempo had been upped.
The team reassembles on Friday for an effective practice for the rest of the games to make it to the playoffs and in honor of Odudu.

Next week, 07/18/10 EAS will take on Real Hidalgo at 9:30AM on Marquette field.
